I've been making conch shells in this popular glass for awhile, but this is the first auger I've made with it. I love the wispy quality of the glass. It reminds me of a shell carved from quartz crystal. I've added a very pale pink throat and ruffled edge that is so subtle that it gives just a hint of color.
This large auger seashell focal was made with Spectrum glass on a 3/32" mandrel, so it goes with the bead aligners I have for sale in my findings section of my site. They will help to keep your bead perfectly aligned.
As with all of my lampwork beads, this auger was kiln annealed to make it strong and durable.
